Distance Training in Motion
Hamburg (GER), May 2007 - From 11-13 September, 2007, the fourth Distance Training Convention will take place at Helmut-Schmidt-University / University of the Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg. Accompanied by a trade fair, the congress is a forum for experts from business and industry, military, science, and public administration. The topics include dynamic training content and moderated knowledge management.
"Distance Training in Motion" is the motto of this year's convention, which will take place under the patronage of Dr. Franz-Josef Jung, German Minister of Defence. In a workshop setting, approximately 150 speakers will provide information about new approaches in IT-based training management. The theme "moderated knowledge management" will discuss the new role of trainers in meeting challenges in a technology-supported learning environment.
"Dynamic Training Contents" is another main topic of the conference, answering questions about the tools being used today to gather information. New trends in game-based learning and simulations will also be discussed. As the role of the German Federal Armed Forces changes and operations abroad occur more often, special distance trainings have to be developed to meet the new challenges.
The Congress language is German, but parts will be translated into English. The three-day conference is accompanied by a trade fair. Exhibitors include EADS, Promethean, Smart Technologies, and hp invent. An early booking discount of 10% is granted for registrations received till August 15, 2007.
