ePortfolio 2007 Conference Takes Place in Maastricht
Maastricht (NL), August 2007 - ePortfolio 2007 is the key international event for professionals interested in, and working with, ePortfolios. This year's theme is Employability and Lifelong Learning in the Knowledge Society. The conference takes place from 17-19 October 2007 and is organised by EifEL, European Institute for eLearning.
The fifth International ePortfolio Conference is expected to bring together between 400 to 500 delegates from 35 countries. This objective is in line with the constant progression of the number of conference delegates and, moreover, with the number of ePortfolio initiatives worldwide as well as the commitment of the group of Dutch professionals who support the initiative.
Delegates will be decision makers from the human resource, employment, and industry sectors, the education-and-training sector, as well as public authorities, reflecting the lifelong and life-wide use of ePortfolios today.
The challenges that will be discussed are, among others, methods, theories, and practice to ensure lifelong employability and social inclusion and to cope with changing employment demands in society. Standards for ePortfolios and new forms of assessment and ensuring the privacy and data protection related to ePortfolio will also be discussed.
