Experts to Convene at MERIT Summit 2018

Paris (F), June 2017 - MERIT Summit has announced its second annual event. HR and executive education directors will convene to discuss transformational corporate learning in Lisbon, 17-18 January 2018.

For the second consecutive year, MERIT Summit will be a one-of-a-kind forum at which HR and executive education directors convene to discuss transformational corporate learning. Organised by the international event and media agency Advent Group, this annual conference will welcome over 200 representatives from the corporate and higher-education sectors. The event is designed to enhance cooperation among leading business schools and companies and promote ongoing corporate learning for business success.

"MERIT is a venue at which decision makers connect and share innovative ideas for the field of executive education. The positive feedback that we received in 2017 was a tremendous drive for us to do even better in the second edition and provide even more value for participants," highlighted Christophe Coutat, Advent Group's Founder and CEO.

The success of the 2017 conference, held in Barcelona, demonstrates that business and higher-education leaders are committed to generating new collaborative solutions for corporate-learning practices. MERIT Summit 2017 brought together 206 attendees from 23 countries, combining the experience and perspectives of over 80 global companies from a diverse range of industries and 32 top business schools.

"We have really interesting challenges in terms of creating good learning-and-development policies in different companies. It was an opportunity to share what we've been thinking and designing in the last few years, and to learn from other people and other companies about what they're doing," said HR business partner at Revlon, Patricia De Blas.

The theme for the 2018 edition is "Always-On Learning" reflecting the shared goal of creating long-lasting learning strategies within the corporate education field. The programme of the two-day event was specially developed in collaboration with experts from the higher-education and corporate sectors to provide attendees with diverse and innovative learning formats.

The next conference will feature six panel discussions with international HR directors from global companies such as Swarowski, PwC, Telenet Group, Bayer, LinkedIn, Virgin Media, KPMG, Deloitte, and many more. Eight inspiring MERITalks and cutting-edge theories will be delivered by thought leaders and business-school professors.

The 2018 edition will also provide new learning and networking opportunities, such as master classes and workshops led by professors, and case studies featuring best practices by companies and business schools.
