Learning Pool Acquires UK eLearning Company Mind Click

Derry (UK), September 2016 - Northern Ireland's Learning Pool has acquired Mind Click, a leading eLearning company with offices in Nottingham and Brighton. The acquisition continues Learning Pool's exceptional growth story and provides a compelling eLearning offering to companies who need a range of low-cost online learning solutions to improve organisational performance.

Learning Pool is now the largest provider of Totara learning management systems (LMS) in the global network and has significantly expanded its product portfolio and capacity to deliver to public sector organisations and private companies throughout the United Kingdom and internationally.

Sean Reddington, Mind Click's Managing Director, is reinvesting in the expanded business and will join Learning Pool's strategic-management team, working closely with Paul McElvaney, CEO to grow the business further including new product development and expansion into new markets.

Paul McElvaney, CEO, Learning Pool said, "I'm delighted to welcome Mind Click to the Learning Pool family.  The company's organic growth in recent years has been remarkable and driven by genuine innovation and customer focus.  These are attributes that we share at Learning Pool, and I'm confident this acquisition will be a springboard to deliver more innovative training solutions to our clients. This acquisition follows the investment in our company earlier this year by Carlyle Cardinal Ireland and positions us strongly for continued growth."

Commenting on the combined capabilities of the two companies, he said, "Mind Click brings a new dimension to our offering and their creative team will be instrumental as we build out our technology and content at a quicker pace around trends like gamified learning and highly immersive content for our customers’ benefit. Similarly, Learning Pool's suite of eLearning catalogues will help customers achieve significant benefits and deliver increased return on their training and compliance budgets."

Sean Reddington, Managing Director, Mind Click said, "We're excited to join Learning Pool, which has enjoyed sustained growth and has led the way in rolling out Totara LMS and off-the-shelf content to its 1.25 million learners across 350 companies and government bodies. The combination of our two organisations will provide a compelling end-to-end learning solution for customers in a market that is growing globally".
