Pebble Learning Announces 2012 Conference

Shifnal (UK), November 2011 - The dates for Pebble Learning's conference "PebbleBash 2012: Making the Case" have now been fixed for 19-21 June 2012. The founders of online Personal Learning Space, PebblePad, are also accepting submissions for speakers.

The Conference theme tackles the increasing pressure to improve performance and keep student and staff retention high whilst being affected by cost reductions.

Delegates who wish to speak should submit a 2,000-word case study by 17 February 2012. Submissions that are accepted will be included in the Conference book and an ISBN-registered publication that will be available for purchase via Amazon after the event.

Case studies will demonstrate the real benefits of PebblePad to learning and teaching experiences, and contributions on one or more of the following themes are invited (find the full list online)

  • learning, reflection, employability, accreditation of prior learning (APEL/RPL)
  • teaching/professional practice, continuing professional development, managing e-assessment
  • organisation, student satisfaction, environmental impact, managing organisational process.

Attendance at the Conference in Shifnal, Shropshire, costs from £275 for the two-day main conference, and all delegates will receive a delegate pack that includes the Conference publication.
