Latest Developments in Mobile and Hybrid Learning

Valencia (ES), November 2011 - The fourth International Conference on Mobile, Hybrid, and Online Learning - eL&mL 2012 - will be held 30 January-04 February in Valencia, Spain. eL&mL 2012 is dedicated to educators, eLearning experts, and students and will present outstanding opportunities to exchange ideas, experiences, and lessons learnt in various facets of modern learning.

The Conference focuses on the latest trends in eLearning and also on the latest IT alternatives that are poised to become mainstream strategies in the near future and to influence the eLearning environment. Ubiquitous systems are proliferating quickly due to the latest achievements in the telecommunications, electronics, and wireless industries, as well as economic globalization.

Progress has been made in user modelling and adaptive learning models. Furthermore, hybrid learning is an increasing trend in education today. Traditional classroom learning has historically proven beneficial, but in contrast to it, hybrid learning is a series of different learning strategies going from teacher-centric to student-centric. This improves critical thinking, creativity, self-management, and self-study, and advances students' problem-solving abilities.

Conference topics and points of discussion include, but are not limited to

  • learning-oriented devices and networks;
  • learning-oriented technologies;
  • tools and platforms;
  • mobile learning, teaching, and training;
  • hybrid learning;
  • challenging technical issues
  • assessing eL&mL;
  • education in developing regions.

The Conference welcomes academic, research, and industrial participants.
