Assistance in Everyday Professional Life
Rostock (GER), January 2012 - eLearning is not introduced and used as an end in itself, but to practically support the work routine. Now where does eLearning really help in everyday working life? How does eLearning have to be shaped to optimally meet its supporting function? The eLBa Contest 2012 evaluates current practice solutions based on these criteria.
Producer and users can submit their eLearning solution. Deadline is 31 March 2012. There are no requirements as to the subject of the application. Any practical topic may be chosen, as long as it is an application from the area of technology-supported learning and concrete tasks in the workplace are effectively supported.
A submission should contain the following points:
- background of the project
- target group and application context (Which practical task is supported by this application?)
- description of the solution (Which properties of the application promote its support function and usability in the application context?)
- users' testimonials (optional).
After a first selection, the eLBa organisation committee will invite up to six candidates for a fifteen-minute demonstration at the eLBa Conference. Based on the application and the presentation, the jury will take the decision for the prize award, which award will be presented in the opening session of the second conference day.
eLearning Baltics (eLBa) 2012 takes place on 21-22 June 2012 in Rostock. It combines the international scientific conference eLBa Science and the business-user forum eLBa Business. The Conference is accompanied by an exhibition and pre-conference workshops. The theme of eLBa 2012 is Learning, Training, and Assistance at the Workplace.
