The Future of Digital Resources
Essen (GER), February 2013 - LINQ is the annual European and international Conference on Learning Innovations and Learning Quality. Organized by Germany's University of Duisburg-Essen (UDE), LINQ attracts participants from throughout Europe, Asia, America and Africa. The LINQ Conference 2013 will take place 16 - 17 May in the Global Headquarters of the United Nations' Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Rome, Italy.
LINQ 2013 and its motto "Learning Innovations and Quality: The Future of Digital
Resources" addresses and invites experts active in the fields of innovations and quality in lifelong learning (LLL). Potential points of access to this field include new learning methods
and design, technology-enhanced learning (TEL), quality standards and certification, human resources development, competences and skills, digital resources, learning materials, and online collaboration and communities.
Through these themes, LINQ 2013 will bring together an international audience from various academic and professional backgrounds, providing the foundation for a rewarding exchange of knowledge and experience.

To enable more discussions, the LINQ Conference 2013 will last two full days starting on
Thursday, 16 May at 9:00 a.m. and ending at Friday, 17 May at 17:00pm. The second European Conference on "Learning Innovations and Quality" (LINQ) has launched two calls, a Call for Papers and a Call for Projects, and had extended the deadline as the result of many requests. The new submission deadline for LINQ 2013 is 04 March.
The LINQ 2013 Calls for Papers and for Projects welcome and invite all experts and practitioners, researchers and organizations, as well as projects to contribute to LINQ¡¯s dialogue through the submission of their best work. This may include a description of fully developed results, ongoing work, or innovative concepts related to the following Conference topics:
- innovations and future trends in learning, education and training (LET)
- quality improvement and learning-outcome orientation in LET
- harmonization of innovations and quality development in LET
- digital resources, online repositories, and metadata for online objects
- Web 2.0, social media and online communities for LET
- open access, open educational resources and user©\generated content
- technology©\enhanced learning for schools, universities, and lifelong learning
- learning quality in vocational education and training and HR
- implementation of learning innovations and quality improvements
- knowledge, innovation, and ideas management in LET contexts
- standardisation of LET design, production, and services
- quality management, standards, and certification in LET
- competence and skills development in lifelong learning
- quality and standardization of learning assessment and evaluation
Submissions of papers or project descriptions related to the Conference topics must be sent by 04 March using the official LINQ templates. Submitted papers will be reviewed by the international scientific LINQ Programme Committee through double©\blind peer review, whereas project descriptions will be selected by the Conference Committee. All accepted submissions can be presented at the LINQ Conference, will be published in the official proceedings of the European conference (with ISBN), and distributed to all Conference participants as well as throughout Europe.
