Warwick (UK), October 2013 - The Warwick Business School Associate Professor of Strategic Management has been nominated for the Future Thinker Award and will be up against some of the top business brains from across the globe.

Also battling for the award will be Dorie Clark, of Fuqua School of Business; Ioannis Ioannou, of London Business School; Nilofer Merchant, who teaches innovation at Stanford and Santa Clara Universities; Ethan Mollick, of Wharton School; Lee Newman, of IE Business School; Gianpiero Petriglieri, who is Associate Professor of Organizational Behaviour at INSEAD; and Whitney Johnson, who rose from secretary to be co-founder of investment firm Rose Park Advisors.

The Future Thinker award will identify the new thinker who has emerged over the last two years with the potential to change the world of theory and practice. The winner will be announced alongside eight other awards, including the Thinkers50 Winner Award, which goes to the person selected as the world’s foremost management thinker, at the Thinkers50 Distinguished Achievement Awards Gala on 11 November in London. On the same night, the biennial Thinkers50 list, which was headed by Harvard Business School’s Clayton Christensen in 2011, will also be announced.

Dr Stadler has spent the past decade researching how long-living corporations have beaten off the competition to survive for so long. His investigations into the history and methods of global giants like Royal Dutch Shell, Nokia, GlaxoSmithKline, and Siemens has been distilled into his management book "Enduring Success: What we can learn from the history of outstanding corporations."

"Working on Enduring Success was hugely challenging and fascinating," said Dr Stadler. "It has given me great insight into how long-term success is achieved, and I am pleased it has been so well received."

The Thinkers50 has now become widely regarded as the world’s definitive ranking of the leading business thinkers.
