Learning Innovations and Quality 2014

LINQDuisburg (GER), December 2013 - The third international conference on learning innovations and quality, LINQ 2014, will take place in conjunction with the ninth EFQUEL Innovation Forum, EIF 2014, to shape the 2014 mega-event for quality and innovation in education and learning. It will bring together experts and practitioners from public education as well as the corporate education-and-training world, including higher education, VET, schools, and other education sectors, to a unique, quality conference with the title "Changing the Trajectory - Quality for Opening up Education".

Interested parties are invited to submit research papers, project overviews, and workshop proposals on the following themes by 10 January 2014:

  • quality indicators and methods to describe, measure and evaluate quality for open education, OER and MOOCs
  • conceptual contributions on new and innovative quality models, methodologies, standards and approaches for eLearning and open education
  • practical experiences and reports with implementation of quality approaches for open education
  • competences required by institutions as well as by learners for designing, practicing and improving open learning with high quality
  • local, national, regional, and international quality projects in the fields covered by the Conference
  • methodologies for and experience in increased recognition of open learning in formal education and training
  • certification of eLearning and open education in institutions, programs, and courses
  • integrated innovation and quality approaches
  • global aspects of high-quality open education (e.g. collaborative efforts, comparative studies, cultural issues)

LINQ 2014 will take place in Heraklion, Crete, Greece, 07-09 May 2014, in partnership with the ninth EFQUEL Innovation Forum. Submissions of scientific papers related to the conference (maximum eight pages) must be sent by 10 January 2014 using the official template. All papers will be reviewed by the International Scientific Programme Committee in a hybrid review process that combines open review and double-blind review procedures.

Authors will be informed of their acceptance by 10 March 2014. All accepted papers may be presented at the Conference, will be published in the official Conference proceedings (with ISBN), and will be distributed to all Conference participants as well as throughout Europe.
