Eisai Helps Address Gaps
Woodcliff Lake, NJ (USA), May 2014 - Eisai Inc. has announced the launch of a website that will provide physicians with access to comprehensive clinical information that addresses obesity screening and risk assessment, provider-patient partnerships, and weight-loss management. The website, called the Obesity Education Network (OEN), was developed under the guidance of a group of weight-management experts and will be updated on quarterly basis.
"Few medical schools include weight-loss management in their curriculum, and numerous studies have highlighted the need for additional physician education about chronic weight-loss management," said Francesca Dea, Executive Director, The Obesity Society. "Medical information such as that being offered on the Obesity Education Network website is extremely valuable to physicians who work with patients to help them manage this complex condition."
