22nd International Conference on Computers in Education
Nara (JP), November 2014 - The theme of ICCE2014, the 22nd International Conference on Computers in Education, is Constructing New Fundamentals of Computers in Education for the Future. The conference, which is organized by APSCE (the Asia-Pacific Society for Computers in Education), takes place from 30 November to 04 December 2014 in Nara, Japan.
Innovative and advanced technologies including ICT, media, and tools are currently creating new possibilities in education and learning. In exploring the impact and potential of these technologies, it is indispensable not only to develop individual educational systems with these technologies, but also to build new theories representing what and how learners could learn with the technologies and how the educational systems need to be designed with the technologies.
In addition, it is also important to accumulate lessons learned from practical uses of the educational systems that implement the theories. The interaction between such theoretical and practical aspects of integrating the innovative and advanced technologies into educational systems would construct new fundamentals of technology-enhanced learning that would be one direction ICCE should pursue. The fundamentals would shape the future of Computers in Education.
