Upswing in Mobile?

Moorea, July 2005 - From Japan to Brazil and from the International Academy of Open Education (IAOE) to the University of Haute Alsace (France), a broad range of organizations and educational institutions will gather for the first international conference on mobile communication and learning. Under the co-chairmanship of Pascal Lorenz (France) and Vladimir Uskov (USA), it will take place from March 14-16, 2006 in Moorea, Tahiti, French Polynesia.




The conference will serve as a major professional meeting point for experts, researchers, and engineers in the area of mobile communications, networking, and technology. It also addresses educators, practitioners, and scholars in the area of mobile learning, teaching, and training. Conference participants from all over the world will present their ideas, approaches, results of research and development, as well as products and applications in designated areas. It is expected that at least 400 participants from 50 countries will attend.

The main topics include - but are not limited to - -œMobile Communications and Wireless Networking-, Devices and Technology, and -œMobile Learning, Teaching, and Training-. The scientific program will include keynote and invited presentations, regular sessions, tutorials, Ph.D. student and software competitions, industry show cases, and other special sessions.

A three-to-six page proposal submission for tutorials or special sessions is possible till September 10, 2005.
