Educators to Participate
San Jose, April 2006 - Adobe Systems Inc. has announced the Adobe Education Leader program to cultivate education technology innovations by providing educators with resources such as education software, free curriculum, training, and a forum to share best practices.
Educators are invited to participate in the program based on their exemplary use of Adobe solutions in the classroom and throughout the school community. The program includes a diverse group of individuals from classroom teachers, technology coordinators, and IT directors to school, district, and state-level administrators.
With more than one hundred educators participating, the Adobe Education Leader program combines the best of the Adobe Master Teacher and former Macromedia Education Leader programs. Educators from 32 states, Canada and the UK were selected to act as advocates, mentors, and trainers and to share their expertise and enthusiasm with fellow educators.
These educators will develop standards-based curricula and educational resources, which are used worldwide in the areas of 21st century digital communication skills, eLearning, professional development; and administrative computing.
In addition to having access to select education software, free curriculum, and valuable training resources, Adobe Education Leaders can participate in software beta programs, focus groups, and Adobe events.
Educators are invited to join the program based on several criteria, including their areas of educational expertise, depth in knowledge of Adobe solutions, professional experience, and industry recognition. Creativity and innovation in the teaching and learning experience and geographic location are also evaluated.
