International Austrian Moodle Conference

Graz (A), June 2007 - "Protection of Data Privacy in Moodle" is the theme of the fourth Austrian Moodle Conference. The event takes place at the CAMPUS 02 of the University of Applied Science, Graz, from 13th to 14th September 2007. Submission of papers is possible till the end of June.

In our fast, decentralised, knowledge-based, and success-oriented society, learning,
teaching, and further education requirements are increasing steadily. Caused by the fast development of information and communication technologies, terms like "collaborative working", "peer strategies", "intercultural learning", and "working in virtual teams" are attracting increasing attention.

The conference wants to show that this is not idle talk, but that many very good, presentable examples already exist that are simple, low cost, and user friendly.
The motto of Moodle's developer, Martin Dougiamas, could be seen as the motto of this conference: "The main value of an online course is not the content, but the human interaction and activities that take place around it!"

The chief topic of the event is the use of Moodle, the most successful learning platform worldwide, for the support of personal and organisational-oriented learning, communication, and interaction processes. Additionally, other topics, methods, and techniques that do not directly deal with Moodle as a platform are welcome if they are related to the other main objectives of the conference.
