The First International M-Libraries Conference
Milton Keynes (UK), November 2007 - Registration is now open for the first International M-Libraries Conference, being hosted at the UK's Open University in collaboration with Athabasca University from 13 - 14 November 2007. Its aim is to focus on work going on around the world to deliver services and resources via a growing plethora of mobile and handheld devices to users "on the move".
The conference will bring together researchers, technical developers, managers, and library practitioners to exchange experience and expertise and generate ideas for future developments. Keynote speakers are Joan K. Lippincott, Associate Executive Director of the Coalition for Networked Information (CNI), Dr. Mohamed Ally, Associate Professor at Athabasca University in Canada, and Dr Agnes Kukulska-Hulme, Deputy Director and Senior Lecturer in Educational Technology in the Open University's Institute of Educational Technology.
