Digital Learning Devices Released in South Africa
Johannesburg (ZA), August 2008 - Several new learning DVDs have been released in South Africa, including an ABC DVD made for South African children, a K53 Licence tutorial, a Zulu Language course, and information about labour laws.
The ABC DVD promotes early learning and is geared towards children aged 4-7. The process is based on the South African grade R and grade one syllabus. Children are taught the letters through sight and phonetic sounds. They are shown how to form the letters by associating them with familiar objects, animals, toys, or other children. Music is used in conjunction with entertaining narration.
