Exploring a compelling vision of learning in the 21st century; demonstrating how learning and development can ensure economic survival in the light of the current global financial crisis, and promoting technology for upgrading the learning and development skills, as well as building knowledge and skills within professional communities are the priorities of the Global Learning Summit 2009.
The topics lined up for the summit include: aligning corporate learning to the overall business objectives, investing in learning, measuring the ROI of learning programmes, competency-driven learning, coaching and mentoring skills, knowledge transfer, effective self-directed learning in the workplace, and advances in technology - e.g. learning using Second Life, wikis, and podcasting.
Confirmed speakers include (amongst others) Goldman Sachs, Oracle, IBM, Sony Ericsson, Telstra Learning Academy (Australia), Johnson & Johnson, Deutsche Bank and SAFTI Military Institute, and the Defence Intelligence Agency.
