Multimedia and ICT in Education in Lisbon
Lisbon (PT), April 2009 - The international forum m-ICTE takes place in Lisbon, Portugal from 22-24 April. It fosters discussion among teachers, researchers, and interested individuals about the ways emerging technologies are transforming education. The conference is especially geared towards individuals and organizations seeking partners for research and development.
m-ICTE offers attendees the opportunity to make a public call for partners and find research or technology partners to advance their research. Researchers have the opportunity to display their research expertise, explain the kind of collaboration they are seeking, and suggest the skills the potential partners should have. To make a call, a downloadable form has to be filled out and submitted. All calls will then be published on the conference website and in a booklet that will be distributed to all conference participants.
The conference will host special sessions on Web 2.0 for Education, ePortfolios, ICT in Science and Engineering, and Medical eLearning. Various kinds of work will be presented at the conference, such as completed research papers, technical notes, in-depth project descriptions, and work-in-progress reports.
A virtual participation mode has been established that offers the same scope as the "physical" one (certificates, publications, etc.) for those researchers directly related to the conference topics but who are unable to attend. For this participation mode, authors are requested to send "virtual papers", which will be exhibited at the virtual "participation-online" platform.
