Are You Ready for Learning with Web 2.0?
Brussels (BE), July 2009 - CERTPOINT Systems, a provider of corporate training solutions, has announced the publication of the white paper "Are you ready for learning with web 2.0?". The paper explores how collaborative technologies such as blogs, wikis, and social networking can dramatically increase the reach and impact of organizational learning.

Drawing on many examples, the white paper provides practical tips on how Learning and Development (L&D) departments can harness web 2.0 to boost learning in the workplace. The paper considers such questions as how to implement web 2.0, overcoming objections to the use of web 2.0 tools for learning, and integrating web 2.0 with existing learning systems.

CERTPOINT Systems CEO Ara Ohanian points out that web 2.0 represents a great opportunity for L&D professionals. "People are already using web 2.0 technologies to learn from each other. That's natural. The L&D department can help by facilitating the spread of good practice and making existing eLearning content available over web 2.0 channels."

And, Ohanian continues, mobile technology adds extra impact to web 2.0 learning. "People are no longer chained to their desk for internet access; they carry it in their smart phone. Organizational learning has to be there, too, or risk being left behind. Because people naturally use collaborative technologies on their mobile devices, it makes sense to use web 2.0 as a key vehicle for organizational learning."
