Johannesburg (ZA), September 2010 - Education Week is Africa's leading education meeting forum and takes place at Emperors Palace Johannesburg 28 - 30 September 2010. It features over sixty of the industry's most recognized speakers presenting three conference tracks, as well as five pre-conference master classes and a workshop on digital publishing geared specifically towards educational publishers.
The meeting attracts everyone involved in education, from government, schools, and FET Colleges to higher-learning institutions, as well as the suppliers to this sector. They come together to share best practices, learn from leading educational experts, and participate in sessions and workshops that will enhance and enrich their role as educators in Africa.
Honourable Minister of Basic Education Angie Motshekga will be sharing her vision on how to develop, maintain, and support an education system for the 21st century. She joins a speaking faculty that includes representation from the Departments of Higher Education and Training, Science and Technology, and Communications.

Further and Higher Education - perspectives from learning institutions and the business sector on quality assurance, distance education, education funding, and aligning education and training programmes with the needs of the workplace.
Education Technology Indaba - how technology can enhance teaching and learning, create collaborative learning opportunities, and accelerate transformation to ensure that African learning institutions are on par with their global counterparts.
The organizers of the Convention will create a platform for participants to get acquainted with financial, educational, and development institutions from the region and Africa, as well as high-ranking representatives of ministries and intermediary organisations with a strong focus on the integration of ICT.
