Research Workshop

Enhancing Transparency and Quality of Peer Production

Budapest (HU), October 2010 - The 2010 EDEN Research Workshop, 24-27 October, continues the EDEN tradition of bi-annually highlighting the relevant emerging fields in research and innovative professional practice.

The Budapest event will offer a platform to present newly born research, theory, and practice about assessing the value and impact of eLearning. Participants will have ample opportunities to exchange ideas about the objectives, methods, tools, and results of making assessment a personalized and inspiring experience in schools and workplaces of the future.

Registration for the sixth EDEN Research Workshop can be done online. Special arrangements for young scholars, as well as combined participation and membership fee are still available. For details, visit the Registration menu on the web.

Inspiring keynote presentations include contributions by Gilly Salmon, Steve Wheeler, and Narimane Hadj-Hamou. The talks will offer broad insight into knowledge and learning in the future and examine the challenge of user-generated content and its impact.

Budapest offers history and art everywhere, and this peaceful, lively, and big-but-friendly metropolis is worth a visit. On Tuesday, 26 October, a social event has been organized in the Hungarian Heritage House. It features an authentic folkdance performance entitled "Hungarian Rhapsody" performed by the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble, one of the country's most prestigious folkdance and music companies. Following the dance performance, a dinner reception will offer opportunity for social networking.
