Multimedia Computing and Information Technology

Warsaw (PL), May 2011 - The International Conference on Multimedia Computing and Information Technology (ICMCIT 2011), held July 24-25 in Warsaw, brings together researchers, engineers, and practitioners interested in multimedia computing and information technologies and their current applications.

The event focuses on a wide variety of key issues and new approaches that tackle problems arising from the fast-growing multimedia computing and information technology. It considers low-level technological issues such as technology platforms and web services as well as higher-level ones like context awareness and enterprise models. Discussions will also investigate the peculiarities of various possible applications of these technologies.

In addition, the Conference will publish high-quality papers that are closely related to the various theories and practical applications in human-centric computing. Furthermore, it is expected that the Conference and its publications will be a trigger for further related research and technology improvements in this important subject.

The gathering will feature industrial-design experiences and showcase tools for next-generation multimedia systems and applications. A keynote speech will be given by Javier Alonso López, Assistant Professor and Researcher at the School of Informatics of Barcelona (FIB) of the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC) in Spain.
