Moscow Education Online
Moscow (RU), July 2011 - From 19-21 October 2011, the international conference on technology-supported learning and training "MOSCOW Education Online 2011" will take place in Russia's capital. This event provides the opportunity for representatives of the Russian-speaking segment to get to know more about international quality standards of education and gain experience in implementing eLearning technologies.
MOSCOW Education Online is supported by the Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Sport, Tourism and Youth Policy, Ministry of Communication and Mass Media, Russian Academy of Education, Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science, Technical Committee for Standardization "Information and Communication Technologies Education" (Technical Committee 461) and the European Foundation for Quality in eLearning (EFQUEL).
Themes of the 2011 conference include:
- experience of the implementation of eLearning technologies in HEI (the transport industry, engineering, agricultural, foreign languages, and so on)
- internet services - opportunities and prospective
- preparing teachers to work with eLearning tools
- development of a national eLearning industry based on international and national standards
- enabling video-conferencing technologies for education.
- cloud services - opportunities and prospective for education
- the international system of education quality assessment
- international accreditation
- modernization of the approaches to the innovation of HEI
- modernization of the Moscow (school) education
- the initiative "Our New School"
The Conference will be structured in plenary sessions, panel discussions, and working groups, where participants will have an opportunity to discuss the above issues. During the Conference, there will be ample opportunity for the exchange of views and experiences on the above-mentioned questions, and recommendations for national educational authorities of CIS countries will be offered.
