Docebo Receives 2.4 Euros Million to Boost Its Business

Milan (IT), February 2012 - Docebo, a provider of integrated eLearning solutions for corporates, has announced that Principia II, part of Principia SGR (one of the biggest players in the venture-capital market), has signed for a 2.4 euro million (US$3.1 million) capital increase.

The entry of Principia II in Docebo's capital represents a unique opportunity for the eLearning company to boost the development of its product in a cloud / SAAS´perspective, in order to respond to a clear market demand that remains unmet. This funding operation is intended to support the launch of the brand-new Docebo Cloud eLearning platform, to be activated online, with no technical skills required.

Claudio Erba, CEO of Docebo, states, "Some of Principia SGR partners - Andrea Di Camillo and Marco Magnocavallo - were themselves Internet entrepreneurs: this has created a natural and spontaneous understanding of perspectives".

Docebo's investment strategy is focused on an internationalization of the Docebo eLearning platform - already available in more than 25 languages - thus challenging the cloud solutions made in Silicon Valley.

Andrea Di Camillo, partner of Principia SGR, states, "We have invested in Docebo, a firm that already builds its success on a great product on one side, and on the ability and experience of its team on the other. These are two essential factors that allow Docebo to face and boost its international growth, which we want to support with newly allocated resources - and not only financial ones."

Finally, Docebo's CEO looks to the future: "I think that Docebo is an exemplary case of the ability to market a -˜disruptive' and revolutionary product that I'm sure will be considered highly in the market: our new Docebo Cloud".
