Change at Learning Light's eLearning Centre
Sheffield (UK), November 2013 - Learning Light's eLearning Centre, a long-established information resource about eLearning and learning technologies for business education, not-for-profits, and the public sector, has been re-launched with the new eLearning Content Store.
In addition to the information and the many resources that are freely available on the site, the eLearning Content Store contains a vast array of eLearning content. Priced competitively, these learning courses have been produced by acknowledged leaders in technology-delivered corporate learning, including the Virtual College, eJ4, eltalking, Learning Light, and the language specialists Altissia.
The learning materials cover topics including business improvement, business productivity, communication, customer service, equality and diversity, food hygiene, health and safety, health and social care, HR conversations, information and data protection, leadership and management, learning and development, maths / grammar for business, recycling and waste management, selling skills, and languages.
"All the eLearning content available at the eLearning Centre has been carefully selected, evaluated, and curated by the Learning Light team, so customers can be confident that they’re gaining access to high-quality eLearning content," said Learning Light director, David Patterson. "We’ve done all the hard validatory work for customers - who now have access to curated content that meets tough quality standards."
"Importantly", he added, "making eLearning content available at such a competitive price demonstrates that small companies with small learning-and-development budgets can afford top-quality eLearning content. It also provides a resource that’s flexible and adaptable since the eLearning content can be adapted and tailored to the needs of organisations of all sizes: large, medium, and small."
"Whether you want some job-specific learning or performance-support materials, or you need more general business-related learning, this growing resource can provide it," he continued. "For example, everyone can have 'easy conversations' at work, but the difficult ones are much more challenging to handle well. They focus on performance, change, and motivation – regardless of the size of the organisation you’re in."
"The eLearning Centre’s learning content that deals with this is in the form of short videos designed to be used as a refresher just before you’re about to have the conversation." Learning Light are planning further launches of eLearning content on the site in the coming months, including sales training from Virtual Coach.
Patterson commented, "The site – with its wealth of information, news, and views - has always attracted a high degree of traffic. We believe that the site’s new look and enhanced contents should prove even more attractive to visitors and make it an essential part of the corporate online learning scene."
