Olive Learning to Unveil Oculus Rift for eLearning
Dublin (IR), January 2016 - A new wave of virtual reality (VR) applications is to be showcased at Learning Technologies 2016 that allows L&D professionals to deliver a cost-effective and truly immersive learning experience for employees.
Olive Learning, a global content and learning-platforms developer, has announced that it will showcase its new Oculus Rift for eLearning solutions at Learning Technologies 2016. The award-winning agency offers L&D professionals a chance to experience an immersive world and see real-life applications for the automotive, engineering, medical, and sports and leisure sectors.’
David MacHale, Marketing Director at Olive Group, says, "The best way to learn something is not necessarily to read things on a screen, but rather to do it in real life. This isn’t always possible, but virtual reality now offers those experiences of the real world to employees, no matter where they are located. This high sense of reality makes this technology extremely powerful for training in highly technical environments since it allows learners to safely practice any possible work situation as many times as it takes. We look forward to showing visitors how Oculus and VR training works in the L&D environment and give them the chance to see client case studies of VR work we have completed in the last 12 months."
Olive Learning picked up the "Silver" award for its compliance project with retailing giant Tesco at the eLearning Awards in November 2015. It will present this project as well as a number of other solutions at LT 2016, including
- bite-sized video content (incl. seminar talk)
- gamification for the hospitality industry
- AcademyHQ™ LMS for rich media content
- iOS and Android Learning Apps
