Tixeo launches Appliances for Video & Web Conferencing
Montpellier (F), October 2008 - Tixeo, a video and web-conferencing solution editor based in France, has launched its newest product WorkSpace3D Enterprise Edition Appliance. This solution gives full control to companies seeking to manage their infrastructure, respect network policies, and keep autonomy regarding hosted service providers.
WorkSpace3D Enterprise Edition Appliance is the richest video conferencing and collaboration solution provided by Tixeo. Sharing applications with dozens of other participants during voice and video communication (over IP) as well as exchanging documents in real-time inside a 3D virtual meeting room are now possible with WorkSpace3D EE Appliance.
Whether the devices for video and web conferencing are hardware-based or virtual, Tixeo's products are designed for fast and efficient setup of companies' web conferencing services. The company offers two.
The first, a hardware appliance that only has to be plugged in to start a meeting, is designed to be upgradable. It can host up to 100 people distributed in different meetings simultaneously. Tixeo indicates that 100 seats can accommodate about 2,000 users at an online meeting. For any wider deployment, these appliances are clusterable and distributable, allowing them to be increased with no limit on the amount of meetings.
The second product is for companies that have opted, or are planning to opt, for server virtualization. Tixeo proposes its video and web conferencing appliances as ready-to-use virtual machines, which are available for VMware and Xen.
