Beyond Maturity: Innovating in Management Education

Sophia Antipolis (FR)/Brussels (BE), April 2012 - The Management Development Network EFMD 2012 is holding its annual conference at the French Riviera from 13-15 May 2012. It features a number of outstanding speakers.



The Conference theme is "Beyond Maturity: Innovating in Management Education". At the event, European Commission Vice President Viviane Reding (Justice, Fundamental Rights, and Citizenship), will provide her view on gender equality and how to increase the number of women in decisive roles in the academic and corporate worlds, as well as in the public sector.

The gathering is hosted by SKEMA Business School and chaired by Santiago Iñiguez, Dean, IE Business School (ES).

Highlights include

  • Plenary I: Jeremy Rifkin (US), founder and president, Foundation on Economic Trends and bestselling author;
  • Plenary II: Michael King (US), Vice President, Global Education Industry, IBM Corporation;
  • The Stakeholders View: Media and Opinion Makers; Top writers on management education will discuss the latest trends and their impact. Moderated by Stuart Crainer (UK), Management writer and co-author of the Top 50 Thinkers initiative;
  • Closing Plenary with Philippe Aghion (US), Robert C. Waggoner Professor of Economics, Harvard University, Dominique Turpin (CH), President, IMD, and Des Dearlove (UK), journalist and co-founder of the Top 50 Thinkers Initiative.
