Challenges and Perspectives of Development in eLearning

Cairo (EG), April 2012 - As a response to rapid changes in ICT, new developments in eLearning, and the growing needs in the Arab society to interact with various spaces of knowledge society, the Egyptian eLearning University (EELU) is organizing its first international conference on eLearning in the Arab World in Cairo, 09-11 July 2012.




The following themes will be investigated and discussed:

  • recent eLearning trends on international, regional, and national levels;
  • challenges of eLearning implementation in the Arab World and Egypt;
  • perspectives of disseminating the culture of eLearning and recognition of its outcomes;
  • eLearning support, including technical, academic, and administrative mechanisms;
  • developing learning-management systems and delivery services.

Professor Badrul H. Khan will give a keynote speech on effective development for eLearning.

The Conference languages are English and Arabic, and besides the regular academic sessions, the event is structured into presentations, workshops, roundtable sessions on pioneering projects and experiences in eLearning, and an exhibition of eLearning technologies by multinational companies.
