Sanako Classroom-Management Software for SCUOLA TECH
Turku (FI), May 2012 - Sanako has made an agreement with Toshiba Europe GmbH to provide classroom-management software for Toshiba's SCUOLA TECH project in Italy. SCUOLA TECH provides a complete solution for Italian schools that are starting to utilize technology in teaching and learning.
SCUOLA TECH is a packaged solution for school teachers and students including hardware, software, and service elements in one package tailored to schools' needs and their available infrastructure. Both the classroom-management software, called Sanako Study 500, and a range of educational content are pre-installed on the PCs by Toshiba's partners.
"By offering an integrated solution, Toshiba wants to make the purchasing and use of technology easy for the schools. We chose Sanako as our partner because of the positive experience Toshiba has had in other European countries and because of the positive feedback received from our customers and partners in Italy during the tests", says Lino Chironna, Expert Education Business at Toshiba.
"Over time, using digital technology to provide individualised teaching for students will improve their learning results and motivation. Hence, we are happy to be part of Toshiba's project, which will make it easier for schools to utilize all the advantages technology has to offer. We believe that the project will also set the ground for technology-aided language learning in Italian classrooms and outside of schools", says Tobias Elgh, CEO at Sanako.
"Study 500 is an ideal solution for a total package like Toshiba's SCUOLA TECH. Study 500 is easy and intuitive to use, even if you do not have much experience with computers. It can be implemented with many systems, and it requires little maintenance, to name just a few of Study 500's advantages", says Klaus Koponen, SVP Sales and Marketing at Sanako.
With Study 500 it's as easy to teach a single student as it is to enable an entire class to participate in meaningful activities, with the teacher remaining in complete control. The software also includes tools for creating quick polls and asking for student feedback.
