Speexx Secures the 2012 Golden Engine Award
Munich (GER)/Beijing (CN), June 2012 - The online language-training provider Speexx has been awarded the prestigious 2012 Golden Engine Award for Strategically and Sustainably Driving China's Education Industry. Speexx took the top spot in the "est contribution to the improvement of the education industry" category.
The national award was initiated by the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology. This year's honor was presented to Speexx by China's biggest computer software magazine "China Information World" at the sixteenth Chinese international software exposition, held in Beijing.
Armin Hopp, Founder and President of Speexx, comments, "With more than 300 million speakers, China will soon be the largest English-speaking country of the world. However, there is scope for improvement in applying the linguistic skills within the business context. Due to China's rapid economic growth, the appetite for language skills is increasing further, particularly amongst businesses who appreciate that fluency in foreign languages provides greater access to global markets."
The award was presented on 31 May at the Chinese International Software exposition, held at the Beijing Exhibition Centre. This expo is the largest industrial exhibition in China and promotes improved industrial communication, commercial cooperation, and development of local industry. Speexx is the only non-Chinese company to be presented with this award.
