IMCL Forum: eLearning in the Workplace

Amman (JO), June 2012 - The forum "eLearning in the Workplace" is a one-day event being held 06 November 2012 in conjunction with the Interactive Mobile and Computer Aided Learning conference (IMCL) in Amman.




The forum features presentations, discussions, and demonstrations by organizations from Europe, the U.S., and the Middle East describing solutions, models, and strategies for eLearning in the workplace. Innovative solutions using social networking and mobile devices will be presented.

Researchers, practitioners, and consultants in the area of eLearning in the workplace are invited to submit a proposal to present at this forum. Proposals are to consist of a two-page extended abstract and need to be submitted by 31 July 2012. Notifications will be sent out on 15 August, and camera-ready papers are due on 01 October.

Suggested topic areas include, but are not limited to

  • objectives, policies, and management of eLearning in the workplace
  • quality assurance and evaluation of eLearning services
  • strategies for implementing eLearning within an organization
  • mobile, collaborative, and social learning
  • authoring tools and development of courses
  • outsourcing the development of eLearning solutions

Accepted proposals will have the option to write a full paper for inclusion in the IMCL conference proceedings. Selected papers will be published in a special issue of the International Journal of Advanced Corporate Learning (iJAC) .

The framing conference - IMCL2012 - will be held 06-08 November and is organized under the umbrella of the International Association of Online Engineering (IAOE), co-sponsored by the IEEE Education Society and the International ELearning Association (IELA).
