With more than fifty entries from around the world, including the United States, Brazil, France, and the United Kingdom, the Worlddidac's judging panel shortlisted only 28 as being worthy of a prize. The board praised the exceptional quality of dp's language-learning solutions, in particular with regard to their instructional conception, user-friendliness, and contribution to the improvement and facilitation of learning and teaching in language courses. The criteria for judging the products included educational and instructional value, design, and sustainability.

The international judging panel decided unanimously that Speexx sets the benchmark in user-friendliness, design, structure, and innovation of language-learning programmes.

The Worlddidac Award is presented by the Worlddidac Association, an independent international foundation with members in 43 countries. The prize is the most renowned international distinction in the education sector and is awarded for products that stand out in the areas of quality, ecological compatibility, educational value, user-friendliness, design, innovation, interactivity, and value for money.
