Performance Support Academy Webinar Series

Fleet (UK), October 2013 - With the aim of helping organisations to improve end-user performance while lowering training, user-support, and change-management costs, SkillSet and its partner TTS have announced the availability of three new webinars in their Performance Support Academy webinar series.

Improving the capability for "moment of need" and social learning is a high priority for learning professionals.  In the webinar series, we explore how performance-support technology can be applied to address common business challenges, including reducing the training burden of a Microsoft Office upgrade and streamlining the roll-out or upgrade of enterprise-software systems like SAP and Siebel.  The webinar series examines why eLearning alone is failing to close the learning gap and suggests where training managers should focus their performance-support investments for maximum return.

"As a result of the 'forgetting curve', traditional training models are inefficient," commented Paul Deed, director of SkillSet. "In fact, many organisations could deliver far less training, reduce training expenditure, and achieve better results by enabling superior performance support.  The Performance Support Academy webinar series has been specifically designed to challenge existing ways of thinking and to explore alternative and, in many cases, more effective methods of learning."

The webinars are titled "Reduce the Cost and Effort of your Microsoft Office/365 Upgrade" (11 October) and “Performance Support for Enterprise Software” (15 October). Each webinar starts at 12 pm and is 45 minutes long.
