User-Customizable Social Media Application
Austin, TX (USA), March 2014 - Neuric LLC, a privately held company based in Austin has announced the release of its user-customizable social-media application. The app is called Sociyall and is available on the web as well as for iOS-based devices (iPads, iPhones). The application allows the user to control the -œWhat (do you want to see?)-, the -œWho (do you want to see it from?)-, and the -œHow (do you want to see it - as text, videos, photos, or everything?)-.
)".
Sociyall is focused on events such as Austin City Limits (ACL), South by Southwest (SxSw), and the current release covers SxSw.
"It’s fantastic", said Tamara, who was exposed to an early version of Sociyall. "You can really control what you want to see, and you can plan on the go, depending on where the action is - where the social action is. And it’s so easy to use".
The app also has "Favorite" feeds, to make your experience that much more amazing. Be in the know; see what everyone is saying instantly about parking, films, and freebies. Click the freebies feed, and you'll have relevant posts about free stuff.
Sociyall is powered by Neuric, a company with a background in big data analytics and natural-language processing. The app harnesses this power to sift through hundreds of thousands of tweets, pictures, and posts, and categorizes them by topic, author, and media to give users the ultimate control over what information they see in a given context.
Now users are no longer limited to seeing posts from just friends or the people they follow. They also don’t have to drink from a fire hose, but rather define the volume of their intake.
"Bringing to fruition seven-plus years of research as a product that benefits the individual user in terms of separating signal from noise in the social-media space is very gratifying", said Charlie Walne, the President and CEO of Neuric LLC. "Our use of context to enhance the value of the social- media feed, as well as our ability to customize feeds on the go, are unique at the moment. We will continue to add more functionality to keep our product ahead of user needs so that we can exceed their expectations all the time".
In order to reach the target audience, the company intends to have a Cash4Badges contest where users download the mobile app and then perform a simple task that makes them eligible for a cash prize for buying music badges. The second contest #findsociyall is during the SxSw event, where users have to employ the mobile app to find where a cash card is hidden in one of the venues participating in the contest. Clues will be provided via social-media posts.
