QA Acquires The Training Foundation Limited

London (UK), November 2016 - QA is delighted to announce the acquisition of The Training Foundation Limited (TTF), provider of The Training Accreditation Programme (TAP) - one of the UK's leading skills-accreditation programmes. TAP courses are accredited by the British Institute for Learning and Development and help L&D functions to drive efficiencies and value within organisations.

TAP has been recognised twice, in 2005 and 2016, by the Queen's Award for Enterprise for "innovation in the quality assurance of learning and development". In 2016, over 1,400 organisations employ more than 28,000 TAP-certified L&D professionals in over 30 countries.

For L&D professionals, TAP offers a range of skills-based qualifications in the TAP diplomas framework and also offers short courses and workshops to meet the skills needs of subject-matter experts. For organisations, TAP offers Partner status to best-practice standards and a three-step programme to quality assured L&D.

Nick Mitchell, Director of the Training Foundation said, "I am delighted to announce the sale of The Training Foundation and its market-leading training accreditation programme, TAP, to QA. Our strategy was to partner with the most powerful training provider in the UK in order to provide an opportunity to scale the business to reach more L&D teams. TAP will complement and extend QA's current service offering to provide an enhanced portfolio of training products to both TTF’s and QA's clients. QA has a history of successful acquisitions, so we feel that we are in extremely capable hands."

William Macpherson, CEO at QA, states, "The acquisition of TTF provides an opportunity for QA to widen its offering of leadership and management products to the L&D community. TAP will enable QA to serve and support L&D departments in management, consultancy, facilitation, programme design, eLearning, and technical-learning delivery methods. We are delighted to have acquired an organisation that is renowned and recognised, through its Queens Awards, for the quality and excellence of its training programmes."
