One of Ireland’s Best-Managed Companies 2017
Derry (UK), March 2017 - Learning Pool has been named one of Ireland’s "Best-Managed Companies" in the Deloitte Best-Managed Companies Awards Programme for the second year running.
The programme, in association with Barclays Bank Ireland, recognises indigenous companies across Ireland that operate at the highest levels of business performance. Hosted in Dublin, the ceremony attracted over 900 people from the business community.
Learning Pool’s CEO, Paul McElvaney, attributed this success to its high-performing team: "We’re dedicated to recruiting locally and nurturing our talented team. They are the driving force behind our organisation and a key reason for our sustained growth and success."
Paul continued, "We’re so delighted to be recognised for this esteemed award. It marks an incredible year of investing for growth, and we have plans to continue this trend well into the future, allowing us to continue offering first-class customer service and innovative products at a competitive cost."
To achieve this award, Learning Pool had to complete a comprehensive qualification and judging process. Managing Partner of Deloitte and judging panel member Brendan Jennings commented to the rigorous procedure and its contribution to the Irish economy: "Congratulations to all the 2017 winners. All the companies here tonight are at the end of a long process of evaluation, which makes their Best-Managed designation even more rewarding and valuable as a marketing tool for their business. It is clear that these companies make an invaluable contribution to the Irish economy - employing 60,000 people and generating turnover of €11bn."
Sasha Wiggins, CEO of Barclays Bank Ireland, added, "We believe that great people make the best companies. Behind this year’s winning companies are 60,000 people who combined have demonstrated absolute commitment to business excellence. The Barclays team is delighted to have had the opportunity to support this diverse range of inspiring companies in the development of their unique strategies, and we wish them continued success in the future."
This is the latest in succession of awards for the learning-technologies supplier Learning Pool, who were recently listed in the well-respected Sunday Times list of 100 Best Small Companies to Work For 2017.
