30 Under 30 Learning Leadership Program Announced
Saratoga Springs, NY (USA), April 2017 - Every day, workers in corporations around the world attend classes, participate in eLearning, and are mentored on the job. Learning 2017, a global gathering of learning professionals taking place in Orlando this October, is reaching out to emerging leaders in this field with its eighth annual 30 Under 30 Program.
The goal of the 30 Under 30 @ Learning 2017 Program is to provide support, visibility, voice, and development for the next generation of learning leaders. Over the past seven years, over 200 rising learning leaders under the age of 30 have participated in a high energy, multi-day, deeply engaging program during which they have been mentored by senior business leaders like Marshall Goldsmith and have also cross-mentored learning leaders on the changing perspectives of their generation.
"Professionals in workforce learning must commit to and develop the next generation of leaders. The 30 Under 30 concept is our way of passionately supporting rising leaders in the learning field and providing them with mentoring, exposure, leadership opportunities, and career enhancements at Learning 2017, to be held in Orlando, 22-25 October," said Elliott Masie, host and curator. He added that Learning 2017 Keynote speakers include Former First Lady Michelle Obama, "Play to Learn" author Karl Kapp, Learning Innovation Fellow Richard Culatta, and more.
Each member of the 30 Under 30 program will receive access to exclusive 30 Under 30 breakout sessions led by alumni of previous 30U30 programs; unique development and benchmarking activities with peers and learning leaders; interactive time with key speakers, including Elliott Masie; participation in mentoring activities; key roles at learning 2017 as leaders and facilitators; and a major discount to Learning 2017.
The 200+ alumni from previous years feature rising leaders from organizations like NBCUniversal, LinkedIn, Southwest Airlines, Google, The Walt Disney Company, Twitter, Genentech, Accenture, Farmers Insurance, IBM, Volkswagen, General Mills, Fidelity Investments, Wyndham Hotel Group, the National Weather Service, PwC, and more.
Alumni include 2011 participant Sarah Truchard from Rockwater Energy Solutions, who says, “The 30 U 30 program was a great opportunity for me while I was with Waste Management, and I know that those in my alumni class have been able to progress in their careers since being part of the program.
"I absolutely loved the program and am so excited others get the chance to experience the same," said Leonie Yijink, who participated in 2013.
Learning professionals from around the world who will be under the age of 30 as of 22 October are invited to apply for this program.
