Acteon Experiment Shows Motivation and Understanding
Cambridge (UK), August 2019 - Acteon believes that when we connect with what matters to people, they are more engaged, which leads to behaviour change and improved performance. Acteon wanted to test this and devised an experiment in the form of a game called Hexit.
Those who visited the Acteon stand at this summer's Festival of Work or Learning Techologies Summer Forum might have been one of the hundreds of people who played the game Hexit. Acteon is now able to reveal what Hexit was really all about.
Before playing the game, people were given information that provided motivation, understanding, or both. Acteon then analysed the results to see if there was a pattern to prove their theory.
There was: The results showed that by connecting with what matters to learners, their behaviour changed and this led to an improvement in their performance.
