Read what IMC board member Sven R. Becker has to say in this short interview.

Why is it so important to tailor digital learning experiences individually?

Sven R. Becker: We already live in a changing world. Digitalisation implies a certain level of individualisation. Internet users are used to the idea that an algorithm knows which book they might like, which car they need, and who they might fall in love with. Artificial intelligence will also have an impact on the topic of learning.

Furthermore, we have been holding a competence debate for years now: digital and social competencies are the new IQ. This means that we need to change our further development efforts from course-specific learning to competence-driven learning, and this makes learning paths more individual and modular.

What should L&D managers consider if they want to find the right LMS for their needs?

Sven R, Becker: Companies should first be aware of their processes and the needs they have. They often want a ready-to-use solution, but this means that the processes are already pre-defined and cannot be modified. A flexible system can instead react to complex processes and individual needs.

Why should LT visitors IMC’s booth?

Sven R. Becker: In addition to popcorn, IMC has real expert knowledge to offer. We have been working with global brands such as Volkswagen, UN organisations, and Lufthansa for over twenty years - we’re proud to say we have a customer-retention rate of over 98 percent. This means that we know our customers' needs and grow with them. Together, we have already won many awards, like the Brandon Hall honour, for the unique learning experiences we have created.
