Rio de Janeiro (BRA), December 2020 - The use of OER is a worldwide trend, strongly reinforced by the current pandemic context. Working on real-world problems usually requires the combination of different types of specialised and context-dependent knowledge, as well as different forms of acquisition.

Educational objects protected in trusted digital repositories can be shared among the broader research community. Aware of this movement, the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) developed an OER community in its institutional repository - Open Educational Resource developed for Academic Improvement - REAdME.

ICDE Individual member, Associate Professor Cristine Gusmão, presents the project in a video (in Portuguese, English subtitles).
