Open LMS Announces Honorlock Proctoring Integration
Raleigh, NC (USA), November 2024 - Open LMS, a leading provider of open source learning management systems, is partnering with Honorlock to bring its scalable, on-demand live proctoring solution to the Open LMS platform.
Honorlock takes a modern and highly scalable approach to remote examination. Its platform uses AI and live proctors to detect prohibited activity under exam conditions, such as cellphone use, verbal communication, and interactions with generative AI tools. The service also verifies test taker identity and secures web browsers. Infractions and other points of interest can then be flagged to human proctors for review in real time.
Integration of Honorlock with Open LMS will bring these features directly into the LMS environment, ensuring students and faculty can benefit from the solution in familiar surroundings, without having to interact with a new piece of software. The extension will provide test administrators with in-depth reports and time-stamped recordings directly in Open LMS after test completion.
"Seamless integration between Honorlock and Open LMS allows organizations and institutions to get up and running quickly, leveraging Honorlock to protect the integrity of the exams they deliver in Open LMS EDU and WORK," said Michael Hemlepp, CEO of Honorlock. "Delivering this plugin demonstrates our continued commitment to providing the best remote proctoring software and services for all learning platforms and is another key step in our organization's global growth and expansion."
"We're excited to offer the Honorlock integration as part of our growing library of extensions for Open LMS," said Bill Conran, Head of Sales at Open LMS. "We believe that by combining AI and human review, Honorlock's best-of-both-worlds approach to proctoring presents a robust option for higher education and professional credentialing organizations, and their students."
