The Role of User Experience in eLearning for Bosnia and Herzegovina

Heidelberg (GER), January 2025 - With the increasing use of modern technological tools in education and the use of online platforms, enhancement in user experience becomes an indispensable factor towards satisfactory experiences in digital education.

User experience in education involves all elements from the interaction between students and digital tools and platforms, where such aspects include ease of use, aesthetics in design, speed of loading, accessibility, personalization, and interactivity.

This paper discusses aspects of user experience in eLearning in Bosnia and Herzegovina. User experience in education directly determines how students perceive and employ digital learning tools and platforms and how satisfied they are. Besides the above, this paper presents the result of UX research in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as key elements of user experience, challenges, and possibilities in user experience design.

Taking into account the rapidly developing technology, the paper also analyzes the significance of artificial intelligence in improving user experience in e-education and other complementary technologies like big data, the Internet of Things, and chatbots.
