Futuroscope Chasseneuil (FR), September 2007 - European universities are welcome to join the European project EduContact test year and enter a selection of their online courses in the EduContact catalogue at the special rate of 100 euros for the period of October 2007 till October 2008.
The project "European Distance Universities Contact - EduContact" aims for worldwide awareness of European higher education courses.
New participants will have the opportunity to publish up to ten of their distance learning courses or modules in the EduContact online catalogue. Besides providing their courses with extensive visibility, subscribers will also have the advantage of services such as follow-up and transfer of messages sent by EduContact website visitors to their designated correspondents and access to statistics on worldwide demand.
A goal of the effort is to create demand for post-secondary European distance education.
By opening its catalogue to new participants EduContact, is widening its multilingual offer of distance courses, its European representativeness, and the worldwide visibility of its participants.
The new participants will take part in the dissemination process of the project thanks to their own contacts and networks, using the communications tools provided by EduContact.
EduContact is a project under the EU programme Erasmus Mundus "Action 4" to enhance the attractiveness of European higher education. The EduContact project was selected in 2005 and is co-financed by the European Commission. EduContact partnership involves distance higher education institutions from all over Europe.
