Conference on Enhancing the Student Experience

Hatfield (UK), October 2007 - The Blended Learning Unit and the Higher Education Academy of the University of Hertfordshire, in association with the University of Calgary and University of Queensland, are organizing the Third International Blended Learning Conference from 18 - 19 June 2008 at the De Havilland Campus in Hatfield, UK.

The aims of the conference are to explore how embedding the use of technology alongside more traditional face-to-face teaching can enhance the student experience. This year the main keynote will be given by Professor Betty Collis, consultant in technology for strategy, learning, and change in corporate learning and higher education with Moonen and Collis Learning Technology Consultants B.V.

The programme committee invites the submission of proposals. Contributions are sought on a range of topics related to enhancing the student experience with blended learning. These might include, but are not restricted to, curriculum design, computer-supported collaborative learning, computer-aided assessment, learning materials and learning objects, change management strategies, and institutional policies. Particularly welcome are submissions from students speaking about their expectations and experiences.

The abstract submission deadline is 21 January 2008.
