Fitou (F), November 2007 - The catalogue of strategical individual competencies is the first part of the methodology of a Leonardo da Vinci pilot project called "The Development of Strategical Individual Competencies in the Context of European Integration". It describes individual skills in the spheres of leadership, strategic thinking, purposefulness, and cooperation.
The project members believe that the development of strategical competencies must already be started in the primary steps of employee training, i.e. during the person's university studies or professional training, by forming strategically significant competencies.
The third project meeting took place in Galway, Ireland, on 20-21 September 2007. During the session, eight European countries (Austria, Bulgaria, Greece, Ireland, Lithuania, Portugal, Spain, and Germany) presented results of a survey in which they queried over 2,000 managers about the competencies that are important and used by innovative managers.
