Event on Authoring Software Lectora by Trivantis

Düsseldorf (GER), October 2008 - Trivantis is holding an event on October 22nd in Düsseldorf to present the authoring software Lectora. Speakers will include Prof. Dr. Michael Marmann from the Fachhochschule Düsseldorf and Mechthild Stuermer of the Victoria Versicherungs-Gesellschaften.

The pressures on training managers are changing fast. They are caught between the financial needs of the organisation and the training needs of staff. Now that economic conditions appear to be worsening, budgets can be at risk, and managers are obliged to show the value of every euro they spend. One way to add value effectively is eLearning, which allows busy workers flexible access to learning and helps companies deliver training more economically.

Trivantis' authoring software, Lectora, enables training-content owners to create rich and interactive multimedia eLearning and communications materials. Companies that adopt Lectora as a standard use it to induct staff, train on IT, distribute new product information, test professional standards, and in many other ways. Trivantis also provides the CourseMill Learning Management System, which helps companies distribute, deliver, manage, and track eLearning initiatives that are compliant with the latest eLearning standards. Both products are available in German.

Drawing from university and corporate examples, the speaker, Prof. Michael Marmann from the University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf, will explain how learning programs can be planned and implemented more efficiently. To achieve success, not only suitable authoring tools, but also an optimization of the whole eLearning development process is required.

Another aspect of the presentation refers to the functional expansion potential of authoring tools, which provide learners with individual editing features and attractive additional functions for web-based training. All the examples to be presented are based on development projects using the authoring software tool Lectora.
