Tata Interactive's 3D Animation Film Wins FICCI BAF Award

Kolkata (IN), March 2009 - Tata Interactive Systems' (TIS) 3D animation film titled 'Special Deeds for Special Needs' has won the top spot in the 'Best Animated Film on Social Welfare' category at the FICCI Best Animated Frames Awards 2009. The awards were announced at a ceremony in February 2009 in Mumbai.

The animation film was conceptualized and created in-house by TIS to be showcased at their corporate sustainability event The Tata Interactive Learning Disability Forum (TLDF) in 2008. The recently set-up animation division of TIS created the 3D animation for this award-winning film. Ms. Manisha Mohan, Head - Design and Animation at TIS says, "This is the opening award for our new 3D animation studio, and we are delighted that it is for our CSR initiative".

According to Mr. J. C. Mistry, Head of Corporate Sustainability at TIS, "We are honored to receive this award in the social welfare category. Such awards are vital channels for sensitizing corporates about their roles as good citizens, and this win has encouraged us to raise our benchmarks in CSR. TIS has been involved with the cause of learning disabilities (LD) since 2002, and the TLDF allows us to establish knowledge-sharing networks amongst global experts in LD. We are hoping to leverage this film and spread our message to a larger number of people."
