CourseAvenue CEO to Lead Conference Session

Arlington, VA/Warrenville, IL (USA), August 2009 - CourseAvenue has announced its participation in the upcoming 2009 Interactive Technologies Conference to be held 19-21 August 2009 in Arlington, Virginia. This conference, sponsored by SALT (Society for Applied Learning Technology), provides a comprehensive overview of the application of the latest technologies for education and training systems, job-performance- improvement systems, and knowledge-management systems.




Co-presenting with Anna Bradley of Criterion 508 Solutions, Inc., CourseAvenue's CEO, Joe Gorup, will lead a session titled "Meeting 508 Compliance Head On for eLearning: The What, Why, and How of Building Accessible eLearning Courseware".

The session will focus on what makes developing Section 508-compliant eLearning so challenging, approaches that have failed in the past, and new technologies available to make this process more efficient and successful. Joe and Anna will discuss how CourseAvenue's Accessibility Player is easing the development of Section 508-compliant eLearning by embedding requirements directly into the course player.

Presentations at the 2009 Interactive Technologies Conference will describe applications and technology and will include areas such as compliance, eLearning, gaming and simulation, instructional design, mobile computing, Web 2.0 technologies, and more.
